Privacy Policy
Last updated October 27, 2026
This policy explains what information AuthorityRadar collects, how we use it and the choices you have. AuthorityRadar is run by Chain Assets LLC ("we" or "us"). Questions go to chainassetslab@gmail.com.
Information about subscribers
When you subscribe to and use AuthorityRadar, we collect:
- Account details: your name, email address and company name, and a scrambled (hashed) form of your password. We never store the password itself.
- Billing details: Stripe processes payments. We receive your name, email address, plan and payment status, but not your full card number.
- Login and security records: when you log in, your IP address and browser, and which devices are signed in to your account.
- Usage records: which carriers and list dates you view, the statuses and notes you save, and the exports you make.
- Messages: what you send us by email.
How we use it
- to run AuthorityRadar and your account;
- to bill you and keep your subscription running;
- to protect the service, for example by detecting shared accounts, bulk copying and leaked exports, and by enforcing the daily, export and device limits;
- to answer your questions and tell you about changes to AuthorityRadar or its terms.
We don't sell subscribers' personal information. We share it only with the service providers below, or when the law requires it.
Service providers
- DigitalOcean hosts our servers and database.
- Stripe processes payments.
- Google (Gmail) handles our support email.
Cookies
AuthorityRadar uses one cookie, which keeps you logged in. We don't use advertising or analytics cookies, and we don't track you on other websites.
How long we keep it
We keep account and usage records while your account is open and for as long as we need them afterward for billing, security and legal reasons. Server logs are kept for about two weeks, and database backups for about two weeks. To have your account closed and your account details deleted, email us.
Information about carriers in our listings
AuthorityRadar's listings come from public records that FMCSA publishes on data.transportation.gov. They include the details carriers file with FMCSA, such as company and officer names, addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, fleet details, and authority, insurance and process-agent filings. For one-person businesses, some of these details may also be personal.
We show these details only to logged-in subscribers, so they can offer dispatch services to carriers, and we add our own estimates, such as lead scores and risk flags. The sample on our public home page hides names, phone numbers, email addresses and street addresses.
If you're a carrier and want your phone numbers and email removed from AuthorityRadar, email chainassetslab@gmail.com with your USDOT number. We'll remove them, and they'll stay removed when FMCSA's records are imported again. The same details stay public at FMCSA unless you change them there, for example by updating your MCS-150.
Security
Connections to AuthorityRadar are encrypted, passwords are stored only in hashed form, and access to the servers is limited to us. No system is perfectly secure, so we can't guarantee that information will never be accessed without permission.
Children
AuthorityRadar is a business service for adults and isn't meant for anyone under 18.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. For changes that matter, we'll email subscribers or post a notice on this site before they take effect.
